Booking information and policies
Thank you for considering me for your event! To ensure your event goes smoothly and is as perfect as possible, please review the following booking policy:
1. Booking Process
To book me to perform, please get in touch with me directly to provide details about your event, including the date, location, duration, and any specific requirements you may have. Once we’ve agreed on the performance details, I will send you a booking agreement to be read and signed and a deposit will be required.
2. Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed once the signed contract has been received and the deposit is paid. The deposit is non-refundable and is required to hold the date. Full payment must be received no later than 14 days before the event unless otherwise arranged.
3. Deposits
A deposit of 10% the total performance fee is usually required to secure your booking. The deposit is deducted from the total cost of the performance. For some events (e.g. destination weddings) a larger deposit may be required than standard.
4. Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify me as soon as possible. I understand that the unexpected happens sometimes! Any cancellations made more than 30 days before the event will incur no further fee, but the deposit will be retained. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event will mean that 50% of the total fee is payable and cancellations within 14 days of the event will mean the full fee is payable. In the unlikely case of illness or an emergency on my end, I will work with you to reschedule or provide a replacement performer of a similar style and fee or will provide you with a full refund if this is not possible.
5. Sound Equipment
I will always bring my own professional sound equipment, including microphones, speakers, and mixers, to every performance. This ensures the best sound quality for your event. All of my equipment is regularly PAT tested and fully insured. I reserve the right to refuse a booking if I am unable to use my own equipment. Please make me aware in advance if this is the case, and I will do everything I can to accommodate.
6. Travel and Accommodation
Travel costs are included for events within a 30 mile radius. For events outside of this area, travel expenses apply. If overnight accommodation is required, it will be discussed on an individual basis and the cost will be included in the agreement. All travel (including flights, trains, taxis, etc.) and accommodation will be organised and booked by me, as this is a safety precaution.
7. Public Liability Insurance & PAT
I have full public liability insurance, which covers all performances for your peace of mind. If you or your venue require proof of insurance for your event, please let me know, and I will be happy to provide it. My equipment is all regularly PAT tested and certificates can be provided if necessary.
8. Special Requests
If you have any special requests, such as specific songs or custom arrangements, please let me know in advance. You can view my repertoire on my website or at the link in my Instagram Bio. I am happy to accommodate most requests, but please note that all requests must be given to me no later than 6 weeks before your booking, and I reserve the right to decline any request. Furthermore, I will learn 5 new songs from scratch as part of any package, but any further songs will incur a small fee.
9. Liability
I will always use reasonable skill, care and professionalism in delivering my performance. However, I cannot accept responsibility for circumstances outside of my reasonable control, including venue restrictions, power failures, technical issues provided by third parties, adverse weather or interruptions caused by the venue or its guests. My total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid under the Booking Agreement, except where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
10. Late Payment
Full payment must be received by the date stated in your Booking Agreement. If payment is not received by this date, I reserve the right to charge reasonable administration fees and/or cancel the booking. No performance will take place until full payment has been received.
11. Right to Cancel for Non-Payment
If the outstanding balance has not been received by the agreed payment date, I reserve the right to cancel the booking without further notice. Any cancellation due to non-payment will be treated as a cancellation by the Client and the cancellation terms outlined in the Booking Agreement will apply.
12. Damage to Equipment
Upon booking, you will accept responsibility for any loss or damage caused to my equipment by yourself, your guests, venue staff or contractors through negligence or deliberate actions. Any repair or replacement costs may be recovered from the responsible party.
13. Safety & Guest Behaviour
I am committed to providing a professional performance in a safe environment. I reserve the right to pause or end my performance immediately if I reasonably believe that my safety, the safety of others, or the safety of my equipment is at risk due to abusive, threatening, violent or inappropriate behaviour. In these circumstances, no refund will be due.
14. Delays & Schedule Changes
I understand that events do not always run exactly to schedule and will always do my best to be flexible where possible. However, if delays occur that are outside of my control, I cannot guarantee the full agreed performance time if doing so would affect other commitments. Where possible, I will work with the Client to find a suitable solution.
15. Extra Time Requests
Any request for additional performance time before or during the event is subject to my availability and will be charged at my current hourly rate, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
16. Venue Restrictions
Some venues operate restrictions relating to noise levels, amplification, performance locations or finishing times. While I will always comply with reasonable venue requirements, I cannot be held responsible if these restrictions affect the performance originally agreed.
17. Substitute Performer
In the unlikely event that I am unable to perform due to illness, injury or another genuine emergency, I will make every reasonable effort to provide a professional replacement performer of a similar standard and style. If a suitable replacement cannot be arranged, any monies paid will be refunded in full, and this shall be my sole liability.
18. Data Protection
Any personal information provided during the booking process will only be used for the purpose of administering your booking and communicating with you regarding your event. Your information will be handled securely and will never be sold or shared with third parties unless required to fulfil your booking or by law.
19. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a performance, you agree to the terms outlined in this booking policy and any further items outlined in your individual contract. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
This Booking Policy provides a general overview of my booking process. Full terms and conditions will be set out in your individual Booking Agreement, which forms the legally binding contract between us. In the event of any inconsistency, the Booking Agreement shall take precedence.
